The Point of No Return!

Hooray for Trevor!!! And, hooray for Jordan for being such a great videographer!

The Trail Riders

The kids and I were coming home from the YMCA yesterday morning when we passed the Trail Riders!! Knowing how much Jordan loves horses (and all animals in general) I rolled the window despite the cold so she could get a good look. I realized that they were plenty far away from our house for me to go home, grab my camera, and find a decent place to park and watch them go by.

A day later, she still looks out our kitchen window and claims that the "horses are getting closer! Do you see them?" One of these days, I need to figure out where we can go to let her pet or maybe ride a horse. She was just in awe! Trevor was pretty happy too, but I am not sure how much he appreciated it. He was so wound up he didn't take his morning nap yesterday, so maybe he likes horses, too!

January

I am slacking. I should blog more. Especially when I literally have 100+ pictures every month.

Anyway, for a few days it was warm enough to go outside. So, we did! The kids both had a blast on the swings in the backyard.

This is the train table Trevor got for Christmas. It (and the trains and tracks) are probably not recommended for kids under 3, but oh well. I knew I wanted him to have one. Apparently, all boys must have a train table. I needed to plan his room around it, so we made sure he got one for Christmas in time for my "big boy room redo" (about which another post will be made, once it is done). I have found that laying out tracks is not my forte. Thankfully, I am married to an engineer, who happens to be a boy, and thinks it is fun to play with trains and tracks. So far, this was worth the investment, errr, uh, asking Grandma and Grandpa for it.

And, last but not least, Trevor is pulling up, and can stand completely unassisted for a considerable amount of time. So, any day now I will be posting about his first steps - I can just feel it. I am very excited about that, too! It is hard to carry him around all the time! The ability to crawl doesn't help out when shopping, crossing parking lots, ordering food at McDonalds, or taking big sister (or Mommy) to the potty. I remember that life actually became so much easier for me when Jordan could walk.
