Trevor is Finally on the Move!!!

Trevor is finally crawling!

We went to the Houston Children's Museum a little over a week ago. He was so excited by all the toys, space, and things to look at that he just started going. I think it was the kick start that he needed. Ever since then he has just been getting better and better at it. He is going all over the house now. It is very strange to me to have a crawling baby - Jordan skipped that part!

He and Dale had a great time at the Children's Museum playing with a ball. I love this picture!

He is also starting to use a sippy cup, and a straw cup at that! We won't ditch the bottles until he is really good at the cup, but at least we have started on it. He is also eating quite a bit of finger foods. He will eat anything that is cut up small enough! He had been struggling with using his thumb and first finger to get food in his mouth - he could only eat a large cracker or something like that. Not any more!!! He can get it in there! Can you tell that I am excited?? Pretty soon I won't have to spoon feed him any more. Yay!

And, he is turning into quite the handsome little man, if I do say so myself!

Blue Bath Babies!

Jordan loves to use these color tablets for the bath water. They are really wonderful and make bath time even more fun. I never thought they would make it this much fun!

Jordan grabbed one out of the water before it dissolved, and started using it as body paint! She was in one heck of a silly mood that night.

She painted all over Trevor and he did not seem to mind at all. They both had a blast and Dale and I had a blast watching them.

It washed right off! This stuff is great! Crayola Color Tabs, BTW!

Snow!

Last Friday Jordan saw snow for the first time. Well, Trevor did too, but he didn't really care.

We went out and played it. Jordan had a lot of fun! She kept trying to catch it on her tongue - and I did not tell her to do that.

Th pictures pretty much speak for themselves. I kept trying to go inside because I was cold, but she didn't care how cold it was - she wanted to stay out in the snow!

The Toilet Paper Hero!

The Thanksgiving week was a good one. Dale had to stay behind because he had to work last minute, but the rest of us went on to my parents' house for the week. While we were there, Jordan had a "I am bored and need to get creative" moment. She insisted on having a cape made of toilet paper and then wanted a hat as well. She then "flew" around the house saving whatever. I think she watches the Wonder Pets too much.

Trevor was a bit of a terror while we were there. I think he was just so tired from traveling and being in a new place that he just was not in good shape. I got a few pictures from some good moments. He is going through some funky phase though. I just hope it passes soon and I get to enjoy this happy baby again!

Then, we drove to meet my brother and sister-in-law for the baptism of our newest nephew! Dale and I were his sponsors and Dale was able to fly in and meet us. Brendan is a sweety and super cute - just like his parents! And we were so happy to be there for his big day!

And, last but not least, Trevor had a great time playing with the mirror in our room!

Princess Jordan

I found a princess dress, tiara, and wand on clearance after Halloween and surprised Jordan with it one day. She loved it! She walked around waving the wand and turning me into a frog.

Trevor still has not figured out how to crawl. I am possibly even more anxious for him to crawl than he is. He can almost get into a sitting position from laying down, but not quite. I will stick with what the doctor keeps saying - he's got a lot of weight to throw around, but he'll get there eventually. According to our home scale, he weighs a whopping 28 lbs, at the age of 8 months!

In this picture he is looking up at Jordan in her princess get up and I can't tell if he is admiring her, or thinking she must be crazy!

More Halloween Fun!

We didn't go trick or treating. Both kids were "officially" pirates for what few Halloween things we did. But, we ended up at Old Navy with costumes on sale for $2.00 each. We ended up with a chicken and a monkey and I hoped they would fit next year. When we tried them on at home, I have my doubts that they will fit. But, this was well worth the $4.00! As soon as I got that chicken costume on Jordan, she instantly started running circles aroung the house shouting "cheep, cheep!" Then I told her that chickens say "bock, bock" and so she started saying that instead.
And, Trevor looked super cute bouncing up and down in the monkey suit!
I even found costumes for the dogs. But...... They weren't exactly thrilled about it. Happy Halloween!!!!

The Pumpkin Patch

Luckily, my little scarface was already going to be a pirate for Halloween. When she decided that she wanted to put on makeup, I thought "Okay, that could work for us." So, we just slapped on
the makeup, I drew a few scars and we were ready to go!

Jordan was so excited about going to the pumpkin patch! She kept trying to lift the ones that weighed more than she did.

The church had a really cute set up for taking pictures, complete with a bench, some pumpkins, hay, dried greenery, you name it. So naturally, I wanted some pictures on it.

I thought that this ----->

was a good idea. I was wrong. A split second after I snapped this bad shot, Trevor leaned forward, and Jordan let go of him. He did a belly flop on the grass. He cried for awhile, we made a huge spectacle, and I felt horrible. However, he had no scratches or anything, and was fine. So, don't trust a 2-year-old to hold anything important.

We had a good time, and had a hard time leaving. I had to promise Jordan I would buy her a pumpkin at the store. They were a little pricey at the patch.
There. That is a little better! Happy Halloween. I think we are done for the year!

Sweet babies!

I had grabbed my camera to take some pictures of Trevor as he is trying desperately to figure out how to crawl. Jordan asked me to take pictures of her too, and then she said she wanted to "hold baby". Who am I to argue? So, she held Trevor in her lap and did great until she lost her balance and fell over! But, I got a lot of great pictures. This one, after a few clicks with my beloved Picasa editing software, is my favorite!

Getting started!

I have always felt like I don't do enough to keep family and friends informed of some of the daily happenings of the kids. So, why am I starting with Jordan's big tumble on the driveway? Because, it is the most recent thing that has happened.

I let her come outside 2 days ago to "help" me take the trash to the curb. She was so excited that she started running up the driveway, and promptly fell. I thought at first she was going to land on hands and knees and be okay. But, once she hit her hands and knees, her feet and butt kept flying over smashing her face into the concrete. Ouch! She is tough though. Once we got inside and cleaned up, a few big hugs, and got out the boo boo bunny, she was fine.
Poor baby!
